Meet Shirly April 2012 birthday

Cuteness Alert!!!

Shirly, female, born in April of 2012, postoperative CHD, congenital microphthalmus of left eye, cataract, fissura auris congenita (ear deformity)
Edited 10/27 to add:
This pretty little girl can crawl fast, and stand with support. She has good use of her hands and giggles when playing hide and seek! She loves toys and eats a regular diet well. She has failed her hearing test. The nannies noticed she wasn't responding to noise.  They requested the director to have her hearing checked and she failed her hearing test. I'm not sure if anything further was done or if she would benefit from hearing aids. In my opinion, she needs
new testing to see if hearing aids would help her

have some sounds if her hearing is compromised.  Please contact Xiaoqing@baas.org to see her full file!  In her video she is walking, playing with toys,  Shirly can walk BACKWARDS!  She seems to be a happy child.  Her right ear tends to bend a wee bit forward.

Shirly is SO young, she needs her forever family NOW!!  If she does have hearing loss, NOW is the time for hearing aids and a good base of America Sign Language so she can communicate.  Check her new video and see if you see your daughter... Trevor ~ born January 2002

Meet Trevor
In China, when a child turns 14, they are no longer eligible to be adopted. Trevor is one of those children who are getting close to that age.
In January 2016, Trevor will no longer be eligible to be adopted as he will turn 14. He is independent, open and active. Trevor is very smart, he can write calligraphy nicely, his self learning ability is excellent and he is always helpful to others. He has binaural severe nerve deafness but is fluent in sign language. Trevor is part of the Journey of Hope Partnership Program and has a $2000 grant. Videos and updated photos are being snail mailed from China so as soon as those are received, they will be shared. Trevor's file has been designated at Special Focus, so an eligible family or single woman could adopt him. Please feel free to contact me at kendi.allen@gmail.com.
